
Complaints of charging extra admission fee in Lokman Fakir Mahila College in Bhuapur

An allegation has been made against Hasan Ali, principal of the college, for collecting extra fees for class 11 admission at Lokman Fakir Mahila College in Bhuapur, Tangail.
It is known from the college sources that this year, the fee for admission to the college for the candidates admitted in the eleventh class has been set at 3 thousand 700 taka. The students and their parents expressed their anger. They said that only girls from poor families come to get admission in this college. And the principal acts on them arbitrarily.
Jahangir Hossain of local Ghatandi village came to the college to get his daughter admitted on Wednesday, got involved in a verbal argument with the college authorities. He said that the education board has fixed 1500 rupees, why should I pay 3700 rupees? He said that this principal does not care about the upazila executive officer.
Due to the strike of the students of the college trying to collect extra fee on the last 12th class examination form fillup, it could not be taken. At one point the students besieged the UNO office.
The president of the college governing body Moshiuzzaman Rumel said that the principal does not listen to anyone, he has become unstoppable in his work. We will definitely look into the allegations leveled against him in the next meeting and take necessary action.
The principal of the college, Hasan Ali, was contacted several times on the cell phone, but he did not pick up the phone.
