
Coast Guard provides free medical services, distributes essential medicines in Bhola Sadar

The Coast Guard has distributed free medical services, distributed essential medicines and organised public awareness activities in Bhola Sadar.
Coast Guard Headquarters Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Harun-or-Rashid informed this in a press release on Sunday afternoon.
Since its inception, Bangladesh Coast Guard has come forward to meet various needs of the underprivileged people in coastal and riverside areas. The Coast Guard has been providing free medical services to poor and low-income people through medical camps at different times.
In continuation of this, on Sunday (13 July) from 10 am to 2 pm, Coast Guard Base Bhola conducted a medical camp at the premises of 11 No. Veduria Union Parishad in Bankerhat area under Bhola Sadar Police Station, providing free medical services and essential medicines to 486 helpless, poor, destitute people and children.
In addition, awareness speeches were delivered on prevention of chickenpox, illegal fishing, prevention of drugs and human trafficking, use of illegal nets, protection of forest resources, and safety of lives and property on waterways and vessels. Local public representatives and general people were present at the public awareness meeting.
Such public service activities by Bangladesh Coast Guard will continue in the future as well.
