Chinese Spring Festival celebrated at DU

A week-long Chinese Spring Festival titled ‘Beautiful China, Colorful Yunnan’ has been celebrated at TSC premises of Dhaka University (DU). DU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. A S M Maksud Kamal addressed this colorful event as chief guest on January 17, 2024.
Confucius Institute of Dhaka University organized this event in cooperation with Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh, Information Office and Foreign Affairs Office of Yunnan Province and Yunnan University of China.
Vice-President of Yunnan University Prof. Hu Jinming and Deputy Director General of the Communist Party of China Yunnan Province Mr. Peng Bin also addressed the program.
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. A S M Maksud Kamal thanked the concerned authorities for organizing this festival and hoped that this type of cultural initiative would strengthen friendly ties between Bangladesh and China as well as people of these two countries.
He stressed the need for undertaking more academic and cultural exchange programs among Dhaka University and various universities in China.
A large number of photography reflecting Yunnan’s beautiful nature, culture and calligraphy were displayed in the festival.
