Chief adviser attends Hassan Ariff’s 1st namaz-e-janaza

Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus took part in the first namaz-e-janaza of late Land and Civil Aviation Adviser AF Hassan Ariff held at Baitul Aman Masjid in Dhanmondi area of Dhaka after Isha prayer.

Later, the second namaz-e-janaza will be held on High Court premises around 11:00am on Saturday.

Hassan Ariff will be buried based on a decision made by his daughter, who is expected to return home from abroad on 22 December 22, family sources said.

He passed away while undergoing treatment at Labaid Specialized Hospital in Dhaka this afternoon. He breathed his last around 3:30 pm at the hospital due to massive cardiac arrest, family sources told the Daily Sun.

“My father was feeling sick and suddenly collapsed on the floor this afternoon. At once, we took him to Labaid Hospital where doctors declared him dead,” Ariff’s son Moaz Ariff said.
