Chhatra League VS quota movement at IU

Students protested against quota for the seventh day in Kushtia Islamic University. Students blocked the Kushtia-Khulna highway on the fourth day as part of the Bangla block program under the banner of anti-discrimination student movement. On Thursday at 3:30 pm, the students started this movement. Later, they blocked Kushtia-Khulna Highway.

The protest procession started from Battail and the university gate was opened and the protesters crossed the police barricade and stayed on the highway. After blocking the road for about an hour in a peaceful manner, the anti-quota protesters stayed at the Mujib mural.

The students who against of quota took a position on the highway and chanted slogans like "The tools of the 18th, let them roar once again. Wake up, wake up, student society has woken up. There is fire in the blood. Compromise, struggle, struggle. In the Bengal of liberation war, there is no place for discrimination"- etc. Later, he announced that he would continue the agitation until the demands were met and announced the Bangla Block programme.

On the other hand, the branch Chhatra League has held peaceful marches and rallies demanding the continuation of the academic environment of the educational institutions, the return of class examinations without creating public grievances and a logical, inclusive and positive solution to the quota issue.

It should be noted that the students are protesting across the country to demand quota reform and reinstatement of the government circular for merit-based recruitment of 2018.
