Chhatra Dal leader elected president by defeating Jamaat MP candidate in madrasa managing body in Mathbaria

Upazila Chhatra Dal Senior Joint Convener Md. Shahadat Hossain Faraji has been elected president of the managing committee of West Mithakali Nesaria Dakhil Madrasa in Mathbaria, Pirojpur, defeating Jamaat-e-Islami's declared MP candidate and Upazila Jamaat Ameer Professor Md. Abdul Jalil Sharifze.
Voting for the post of president of the madrasa managing committee was held on Thursday morning. Seven members exercised their right to vote in the election. Shahadat Hossain Faraji won 4 votes and was elected president. The presiding officer of the election and Mathbaria Upazila Academic Supervisor Md. Nazrul Islam announced the name of the winning candidate after the voting.
Earlier, last Monday, the guardians of the madrasa students voted and elected seven members, who later voted in the presidential election. Professor Md. Abdul Jalil Sharif was recently announced by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami as their MP candidate for Pirojpur-3 constituency in the upcoming national parliament election. As a result, this election of the madrasa committee has local political importance.
West Mithakali Nesaria Dakhil Madrasa is one of the oldest educational institutions in the area. It was founded by the late Alhaj Mofiz Uddin Mollah. For a long time, the institution has maintained a good reputation in the field of religious and moral education.
After the results were announced, there was excitement among students, guardians and locals. The new president, Shahadat Hossain Faraji, said, "I will work tirelessly for the development of this institution, improvement of the quality of education and modernization. I want to build the madrasa as a model educational institution by taking everyone along, regardless of party or opinion." At the local level, this result is being seen as a reflection of the acceptance of young leadership and the increasing influence in educational institutions.
