
Chandpur upazila election winners new faces

In the fourth phase of the Sixth Upazila Parishad elections, Kachua and Faridganj upazila elections of Chandpur were held on June 5.
Md. Mahbub Alam has been elected in Kachua and Khaje Ahmed Majumdar in Faridganj.
After voting in EVM from 8 am to 4 pm on Wednesday, Kachua Upazila Assistant Returning Officer Mohammad Abdul Barik and Faridganj Upazila Assistant Returning Officer Rayhan Arefin announced the results at 10:30 pm.
According to the results obtained, the chairman was elected by getting 34 thousand 430 votes in Kachua upazila. Mahbub Alam His closest rival. Shahjahan Cup Piritch received 27 thousand 584 votes.
Khaje Ahmed Majumder was elected as the chairman in Faridganj upazila by getting 62 thousand 496 votes with the shrimp symbol. His nearest rival Mohammad Amir Azam Reza got 20 thousand 165 votes with the pineapple symbol.
In the election, 6 people contested for the post of chairman, 5 for the post of vice chairman and 4 for the post of female vice chairman in Kachua upazila. In Faridganj upazila, two candidates contested for the post of chairman, 3 candidates for the post of vice chairman and 3 candidates for the post of female vice chairman.
