Case filed at Kalapara for arson attack on Kafi's house

A case has been filed over the arson attack on the house of prominent content creator and July Movement coordinator Nuruzzaman Kafi. Kafi himself filed the case at Kalapara Police Station ar around 11:30 PM on Wednesday against unidentified individuals.
The matter was confirmed by Kalapara Police Station’s Investigation Officer, Mostafizur Rahman.
During an on-site visit on Thursday, it was revealed that Kafi mentioned in his case statement that his house was deliberately set on fire due to his active participation in the July-August movement and his frontline role with the people in dismantling the abduction den at Dhanmondi 32.
Kalapara Police Station’s Investigation Officer, Mostafizur Rahman, stated that a case has been filed regarding the incident and that police are investigating the arson attack.
It is mentiloned that, according to Kafi’s father, ABM Habibur Rahman, miscreants set fire to their house around 2 AM on Tuesday night after locking the doors from outside. However, before the fire could engulf the entire house, all six family members inside managed to escape unharmed by breaking down the door. The fire caused an estimated loss of approximately Tk 50 lakh, including cash and gold jewelry.
