Case against 75 Jamaat men, 3 arresred in Sirajganj

Three members of Jamaat-e-Islami were arrested after holding a protest march and rally in Sirajganj demanding cancellation of schedule and restoration of caretaker government.
In this incident, a case has been filed against 50 to 60 unknown people in addition to mentioning the names of 15 people on the charge of sabotage plan.
On Tuesday noon, the police filed the case at the Sadar police station.Later, the three arrested in this case were sent to jail through the court.
Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC:) Sirajul Islam confirmed the matter.
The arrested are Nazrul Islam, Sultan Mahmud and Abdul Quader, members of the District Jamaat.
Sadar Police Inspector (Operation) Suman Kumar Das said, Jamaat leaders and activists were planning sabotage in the morning.In continuation of this, they marched in jhatika. At the end of the procession, three people were arrested.Later in the afternoon they were sent to jail by the court.
He also said that they held a procession and held a meeting for only 5 minutes at SB Fazlul Haque Road in the city.They got stuck when they realized the presence of the police. At this time, 3 people were arrested.
