BUET VC Prof Satya Prasad resigns

Now the vice-chancellor of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) Prof Satya Prasad Majumder has resigned from his post citing personal reason.
He submitted his resignation letter to both the chancellor of the university and the secretary of the Ministry of Education on Sunday.
Prof Mohammad Al Amin Siddique, director of the BUET Directorate of Student Welfare (DSW), confirmed the resignation.
In the letter Dr Satya mentioned that due to personal reasons he no longer be able to uphold responsibilities entrusted on him.
Earlier, on July 3, this year Prof Satya Prasad Majumder was reappointed as the vice chancellor of BUET for the second term as per Section 11 (1) and (2) of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology Ordinance, 1961.
