Buddhists celebrated their religious festival Prabarana Purnima like every year in KuakataAfter attaining Buddhahood, Gautama Buddha celebrated this festival after three months of monsoon from Asadhi Purnima to Ashwini Tithi.

On Thursday morning, they started the day with Panchasila and Ashtasila prayers and Buddha PujaLater, in memory of the Buddha, various fruits and different types of pithapuli were given to the Buddhist monks by the elderly men and women of the Buddhist religion. Colorful lanterns will fly in the evening sky.

Going to the ground on Thursday, it can be seen that there is chaos in the Rakhine neighborhood surrounding the festival. Various pithapulis and different kinds of food are being made at home in their own culture. People of Buddhist religion from different parts of the country have gathered to celebrate this festival in Buddhist Vihara. From neighborhood to neighborhood, Rakhine men and women of various ages attended the Buddhist monastery wearing new clothes. Indra Vansh Bhante, the vice president of Sri Mangal Buddhist Vihara in Kuakata, said, around the Prabarana festival, we have cleaned and decorated 28 Buddha seats. Today, October 17, 31 solid chibars were donated and hundreds of lanterns were lit in the evening.

Manglachi Talukdar Talukdar, president of Misripara Seema Buddhist Vihar said, "It is one of our main festivals. People of all ages enjoy this festival. Wishing everyone the best in the world. Lanterns will be flown in the evening after Thursday evening.

Uttam Bhikkhu of Misripara Buddhist Vihara said, two and a half thousand years ago, Gautama Buddha has been celebrating prabarana festival by observing monsoon for three months from Asadhi Purnima to Ashwini Tithi after attaining Buddhahood. In today's festival, everyone in the world is asked to be well. May no one be unlucky. He also said that our social condition is deteriorating.
