BRRI Annual Research Review Workshop inaugurates today

A six-day long ‘Annual Research Review Workshop 2023-24’ of Bangladesh Rice Research Institute (BRRI) will be inaugurated on Saturday.
Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture Dr. Mohammad Emdad Ullah Mian will be present as the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony to be held at the institute’s headquarters auditorium in Gazipur. FAO (Food and Agricultural Organization) Representative in Bangladesh Dr. Jiaoqun Shi, CIMMYT Representative in Bangladesh Dr. Timothy J. Krupnik and IRRI (International Rice Research Institute) Representative in Bangladesh Dr. Humnath Bhandari will be present as guests of honor. Chairman of Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC), Md. Ruhul Amin Khan; Executive Chairman of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council (BARC), Dr. Nazmun Nahar Karim and Director General of Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) Md. Saiful Alam will be present as the special guest.
BRRI Director General Dr. Mohammad Khalequzzaman will preside over the event. BRRI Director ( Research) Dr. Md Rafiqul Islam will present the annual progress and achievement of the institute. Director ( Admin and Common Service) Dr. Md Anwarul Haque will deliver the vote of thanks.
