Body recovered from paddy field in Pabna

The police recovered the throat slit body of an unidentified man (55) in Ataikula of Santhia Upazila of Pabna.
The body was recovered from a paddy field in Chulkatai Bayanapara village of Bhulbaria Union at around 10 am on Wednesday.
Mizanur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Ataikula police station, confirmed the matter.
He said that in the morning, the locals reported the body to the police station after seeing the body lying inside a paddy field of Bhayanapara, Chulkatai, Bhulbaria Union. The body was recovered from the spot and taken to the police station. Initially, it is believed that miscreants may have slaughtered him sometime during the night.
A kill from another place may leave the body in a paddy field in that area. The identity of the deceased is not yet known. Preparations are underway to send the body to the Pabna General Hospital morgue for post-mortem. Besides, legal action is in process.
Bakul Hossain Pramanik, a member of Bhulbaria Union Parishad, said that he went to the spot and saw the dead body after receiving word of mouth. No one in the area knows the person. We have informed many places to know the identity. Photos of the dead bodies have also been shared on social media.
