BNP leader Rahmatullah distributes baby chickens to help women become self-reliant

With the aim of making women self-reliant and self-reliant, BNP National Executive Committee member Abu Naser Muhammad Rahmatullah distributed ducks and chickens among women from low-income families in Char Aicha Ward 5 of Charkaua Union in Barisal Sadar Upazila.

The program is organized to make local women entrepreneurs and mothers and sisters from low-income families economically self-reliant. Through the program, ducks and chickens are distributed among the women so that they can increase their family income and become self-reliant by raising poultry.

Md. Saiful Islam Howlader, a member candidate of Char Aicha Ward No. 5 and leader of Charkaua Union No. 7, Volunteer Party, was present at the program. He is also serving as the joint convener of Zia Cyber Force Barisal Sadar Upazila. This program was implemented on his initiative.

Former Charkaua Union BNP President Enayetkari Khan Sanu, Madina Mosque Committee Vice President and social worker Abdus Salam Howlader, joint convener of Charkaua Union Jubo Dal No. 7 Mirza Zahir Uddin Iqbal, Union Jubo Dal member Mohammad Yasin Howlader, Charkaua Union Fishermen's Party No. 7 Md. Ripon Khan were also present at the event. Also present were Israt Hossain Shaon, leader of Charkaua Union Volunteer Party No. 7 and Animal Affairs Officer, Tania Akhter, prominent social worker and CRNS Ward Nutrition Officer, volunteer social workers Khadija Akhter and Chumki Akhter.
The event was attended by local dignitaries, social workers, female members of low-income families, new female entrepreneurs, mothers and sisters, and BNP leaders and activists from various levels.

Organizers said the main objective of this initiative is not just to provide assistance, but to provide women with resources and opportunities to earn an income. They expressed hope that the beneficiary women will gradually be able to improve the economic situation of their families through poultry farming.

Locals welcomed such initiatives and said that if such programs are implemented regularly to make women self-reliant, many families at the rural level will benefit.
