BNP holds protest rally in Kapasia

A protest march and rally have been held in protest of the nationwide anarchy, propaganda and deterioration of law and order situation at the initiative of Kapasia Upazila BNP, its organs and associate organizations in Gazipur.
The protest march started from the west end of Fakir Majnu Shah Bridge on Sunday afternoon and the rally was held in front of the Sadar Union Parishad.
Upazila BNP member secretary and freedom fighter Alhaj Khandaker Azizur Rahman Pera spoke as the chief guest at the rally attended by thousands of leaders and activists from various organs and associate organizations of 11 unions in the upazila. Among others, Kapasia Upazila BNP convenor Afzal Hossain, Azgar Hossain Khan, District Women's Party President Jannatul Ferdousi, District Krishak Dal member secretary Fakir Iskander Alam Janu, Selim Hossain Arju, FM Kamal Hossain, Advocate Lutfar Rahman, Touhiduzzaman Tapan, Arifur Rahman Sohag Bepari, Upazila Jubo Dal convener Faridul Alam Bulu, member secretary Junaid Hossain Lyon, former leader of District Volunteer Dal Matiur Rahman Moti, Upazila Volunteer Dal convener Md. Farid Sheikh, member secretary Sirajul Islam, Upazila Chhatra Dal convener Imran Hossain Shishir, member secretary Zahidul Islam Zahid and others spoke.
The speakers at the rally said that an anti-independence group is creating anarchy across the country in a well-planned manner. They want to fish in troubled waters. None of their plans will succeed. BNP is a patriotic party. In the past, it has been united and continuously fighting against the fascist Awami government. He announced that he would be on the streets to restore democracy in the coming days as well. He called on the law enforcement agencies to arrest anyone from the party who commits a crime. He demanded that the interim government hold elections as soon as possible.
