
BNP demands release of Khaleda, Fakhrul

The leaders and activists of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) brought out a protest procession in the capital on Monday demanding the release of party’s chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
The procession, led by Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, was brought out from the Shantinagar intersection and ended at Kakrail.
They members also demanded resignation of the Awami League government and the cancellation of the one-sided illegitimate dummy election.
BNP Health Affairs Secretary Dr Md Rafiqul Islam, Joint Youth Affairs Secretary Mir Newaz Ali Newaz, Joint Health Affairs Secretary Parvez Reza Kakon, Central Executive Committee Member and former MP Salim Reza Habib participated in the procession, and leaders from affiliated organisations were present, among others.
