BNP candidate Engn Mainul Islam Khan wins Manikganj-2 seat

After counting the votes at the end of the day, BNP candidate Engineer Mainul Islam Khan Shanto (in the paddy sheaf symbol) was unofficially declared the winner. He won by getting 1,75,776 votes in the paddy sheaf symbol.
His nearest rival, Khilafat Majlis candidate Muhaddis Sheikh Md. Salah Uddin Dewal, received 81,501 votes in the wall clock symbol. In addition, SM Abdul Mannan contested from this seat with the Jatiya Party's plow symbol and Mohammad Ali with the hand and fan symbol from the Islami Andolan Bangladesh.
