BNP's joyous rally at death sentence of Sheikh Hasina in Joypurhat

District BNP has taken out a joyous procession in Joypurhat to celebrate the death sentence handed down to ousted former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in a case of crimes against humanity committed during the July mass uprising.
The protest procession left the party office on Station Road in the city at 3:30 pm on Monday and circled the main roads before holding a brief rally at the same place.
District BNP convener Golzar Hossain, joint convener and Paddy Sheesh MP candidate Masud Rana Pradhan and MA Wahab, youth wing leader Shahnewaz Kabir Shuvo, Adnan, Sechchhasebak Dal member secretary Shams Matin and leaders of BNP and its affiliates were present at the time.
On the other hand, a joyous procession was taken out under the leadership of BNP National Executive Committee member Faisal Alim.
At that time, the leaders said, they demanded that Sheikh Hasina be brought back to the country immediately and the verdict be implemented.
On the other hand, security has been beefed up at various points in the city ahead of the verdict announcement.
