A colourful procession and a brief discussion meeting were held in Tanore, Rajshahi, on Tuesday afternoon to mark the 48th founding anniversary of the BNP.

The program was organized by the upazila BNP and its affiliated organizations in the late afternoon. A large number of leaders and activists from Tanore upazila, Mundumala municipality, Tanore municipality, and various unions and wards enthusiastically participated in the event.

The procession was led by Mizanur Rahman Mizan, former mayor of Tanore municipality and a member of the Rajshahi district BNP convening committee. Starting from the main office of Tanore upazila BNP in the late afternoon, the procession paraded through key thoroughfares including the Tanore police station intersection, Zero Point, and the upazila parishad area before returning to its starting point. A short discussion meeting followed, where local leaders highlighted the significance of the party's founding anniversary.

Addressing the gathering, Mizanur Rahman Mizan expressed deep gratitude and love for the organization, stating, "I express my profound love and gratitude on the founding anniversary of our beloved BNP, which is embedded in our blood. Countless leaders and activists of the upazila BNP and its associate bodies responded to my call and participated spontaneously to make this procession a success."

"I am overwhelmed by the love and trust of my dear grassroots activists—this debt can never be repaid," Mizan added. "I want to remain by your side always with that same love and gratitude."

He fondly remembered the party's founder, martyred President Ziaur Rahman, Chairperson Khaleda Zia, Chairman Tarique Rahman, and all party members who struggled and sacrificed for the establishment of democracy. "Despite enduring various hardships, including imprisonment and oppression for engaging in BNP politics, I have never deviated from the party's ideals. I have been, and Inshallah will continue to be, beside the people and party activists of Tanore."

The procession created an enthusiastic and festive atmosphere across the main roads of Tanore, with participants carrying placards, banners, and party flags while chanting slogans.
