BGB strengthens patrols, raise public awareness to prevent push-ins at Kurigram border

In the wake of recent incidents of illegal push-ins from India through various borders of Bangladesh, the Kurigram Battalion (22 BGB) has taken the highest alert position to ensure the security of the Kurigram border and suppress any kind of illegal infiltration.
In line with this, in addition to revamping the border security system, special tactical patrols are being conducted day and night from each border BOP in addition to regular patrols.
In addition, patrolling activities, intelligence surveillance, and overall situation monitoring have been strengthened in the border areas by BGB members as well as local volunteers to prevent illegal push-ins.
Lieutenant of Kurigram Battalion (22nd BGB) Colonel Mohammad Mahbub-ul-Haq, PSC The captain said BGB has taken all necessary preparations to deal with any situation that may arise with utmost professionalism. Kurigram Battalion (22 BGB) is determined to implement the 'zero tolerance' policy to protect the country's sovereignty, prevent smuggling and suppress illegal infiltration.
