BGB-BSF battalion level discussion held at Jibannagar border

A discussion meeting was held at the battalion commander level of BGB and BSF at the Jibannagar border in Chuadanga.

At least 24 members of the Indian and Bangladesh Border Guards participated in the discussion meeting.

The discussion meeting was held at the border of Medinipur in Jibannagar upazila of the district around 4 pm on Thursday.

This information was given in a press release sent by 58 BGB.

The discussion meeting was led by 58 Battalion Commander Lt. Col. Md. Rafiqul Alam, PSC, and BSF 32 Battalion Commandant Shri Sujit Kumar.

The press release further said that various border-related issues including BGB-BSF cordial relations, keeping the border situation healthy and normal, preventing border killings and taking effective measures to prevent drug smuggling were discussed.

After the discussion, both battalion commanders inspected 34 T-pillars including border pillars 64/4-S, 63/5-S, 63/6-S and 63/7-S and walked along the 03 km road between the said pillars along the zero line.

At the end of the discussion, they pledged to maintain good relations and a cordial atmosphere between the border guards of both countries in the future.
