Banking transaction hours extended by 30 minutes

The Bangladesh bank has asked all the scheduled banks to extend the working period for customers by half an hour.Banks will be allowed to handle transactions until 4:00 pm.
The new schedule of bank transactions has been announced in keeping with the office schedule announced by the government. The decisions will be effective after Eid ul-Azha from 19 June.
The Bangladesh Bank issued a circular on the new timings on Sunday.
According to the circular, from 19 June, the offices of banks will be open from 10 am to 6 pm. And bank transactions will continue from 10 am to 4 pm. There will be weekend holidays on Friday and Saturday.
The central bank has issued this directive under the authority of Section 45 of the Bank Companies Act, 1991.
