A delegation of Bangladeshi journalists, led by Ayub Bhuiyan, General Secretary of the National Press Club, is currently in Pakistan.

The delegation reached in Pakistan on February 12, 2025, at the invitation of the Pakistan government.

This visit is expected to strengthen the media relations between Bangladesh and Pakistan.

As part of the visit, Bangladeshi journalists met with representatives from several prominent newspapers and media outlets in Pakistan. They also visited Pakistan National Press Club, where they engaged in discussions on professional matters with Pakistani journalists.

The Pakistan government has extended a warm welcome to the journalists and honored them for their contributions.

In honour of the visiting delegation, Pakistan's Information Minister hosted a dinner, during which he discussed the role of Bangladesh's media and the necessity of increasing cooperation between the media of both countries. The Minister ssid , Bangladesh and Pakistan share a common history and culture, and through journalism, we can further strengthen this relationship.

During their stay, the Bangladeshi journalists met with several important government officials, ministers and civil servants in Pakistan and discussed media freedom and the establishment of closer ties between the two nations.

The purpose of this visit is not only to enhance professional relationships but also to explore opportunities for mutual development and improvement in journalistic practices. The delegation is expected to return to Bangladesh on February 21, 2025, the day of International Mother Language Day.

This visit is expected to strengthen friendly relations between the media communities of both countries and foster greater collaboration.

Additionally, it is anticipated that the role of media on both national and international levels will be further reinforced.
