State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Md. Shahriar Alam, MP, said that due to the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hassina, Bangladesh today has acquired the ability to deal with all types of natural disasters.

On Saturday at 12:30 pm, Bagha Upazila administration organized a distribution ceremony of vouchers and support checks among 22 families of Tetulia village and 3 institutions-Tetulia Technical School and College, Tetulia High School and Speech and Hearing Impaired School at their residence in Arani. On that occasion, the state minister gave a check of 6000 taka and 2 bundles of cloth to each affected family and institution.

Most of the houses in the village are made of bamboo, wood, tin; As a result, such houses are more damaged in storms. He suggested emphasizing on construction of sustainable houses to survive these calamities.

Emphasizing the use of modern technology in the construction of houses, Shahriar Alam said, in our country, usually 70 to 75 kilos per hour. Mr. There is a storm. If a durable tin house is built with modern technology, it can run at 200 km per hour.

He directed the concerned authorities to construct such houses in every upazila by providing training to the local members under the supervision of the Ministry of Disaster and Relief to build highly durable and storm-resistant houses.
