State Minister for Water Resources Zaheed Farooque MP said, Bangabandhu's thoughts and ideals were the document of liberation of the nation. No effort can separate the name of Bangabandhu from Bangladesh.

Bangabandhu is the image of the Bengali nation. Anti-independence and anti-democratic forces are common enemies of the opposing forces of the liberation war.

Those who did not believe in this country, could not accept the independence, they killed the father of the nation and tried to erase the history of independence. Bangladesh is still not freed from the conspiracy. If the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had not been lost, Bangladesh would have been established and known as a developed and prosperous country earlier.

On the occasion of National Day of Mourning on August 15, he said this at a discussion meeting and prayer ceremony on the life and work of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman today in the meeting room of Pani Bhaban in the capital.

The state minister said, Bangabandhu's dream was the golden Bengal, today the honorable Prime Minister has taken the country to a unique height on the face of the earth. He has worked all his life for the happiness of the people of this country. Today we can live happily because of him. I was able to stand tall on the earth.

He also said, if Bangabandhu is replaced in his own glory above all controversies of the country and nation, everyone will be glorified as a nation. Bangabandhu dreamed of building a democratic, progressive and non-communal society. The proper implementation of his dream of Bangladesh will be the best way to pay tribute to him. To that end let the pledge of the National Day of Mourning be-Mourning should be transformed into strength.

Referring to the contribution of Bangabandhu, Deputy Minister of Water Resources AKM Enamul Haque Shamim, MP said, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was a leader of the people. Kill the father of the nation and erase his name. Bangabandhu is in the heart of Bangladesh.

The name written in the heart cannot be erased. No one can delete it. The Bengali nation will forever remember Bangabandhu with gratitude. Independence means Bangabandhu, Bangabandhu means Bangladesh.

The Deputy Minister said, Bangabandhu was the embodiment of the spirit of peace-loving people of the world. He was uncompromising in policy. Bangabandhu was the greatest Bengali of soft heart and infinite love. Bangabandhu is such a leader who not only freed the Bengali nation, but the exploited people of the world, can never be erased. Secretary of the Ministry Nazmul Ahsan presided over the event.

Ramzan Ali Atornik, Director General of Water Development Board gave the welcome speech; Jeevan Kumar Sarkar Pinj, Superintending Engineer, Bapaubo spoke.
