Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's birthday was celebrated in Jessore's Sharsha Upazila with due dignity.

Upazila Parishad, Bangladesh Awami League, Youth League, Freedom Fighters Sangsad, various educational institutes, cultural organizations celebrate the day separatelyThe program of the day included wreath laying on Bangabandhu's portrait, cutting of cake, sports and various competitions, discussion meeting, prayer ceremony.

On Friday morning, the birthday ceremony organized by the upazila administration was held in the upazila area. Sheikh Afil Uddin, the local member of parliament, was present as the chief guest.

Sharsha Upazila Chairman Sirajul Haque Majnu, District Parishad Panel Chairman Saleh Ahmed Mintu, Upazila Vice Chairman Aleya Ferdous and other freedom fighters and administration officials were present as special guests in the event. UNO Narayan Chandra Pal presided over the function.

In the afternoon, Sheikh Afil Uddin, Member of National Parliament elected from Sharsha, was present as the chief guest at the cake cutting and discussion meeting organized by Sharsha Upazila Awami League on March 17 to celebrate the 103rd birthday of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children's Day.

Held at Navaron Newmarket Square Sharsha Upazila Awami League Vice President Jessore Zilla Parishad Panel Chairman Saleh Ahmed Mintu, Benapole Municipal Awami League President Enamul Haque Mukul, General Secretary Nasir Uddin, Sharsha Upazila Awami Jubo League President Ahiduzzaman Ahid, General Secretary Sohrab were present as special guestsHossain, all Union Parishad Chairman Brind, All Union Awami League President General Secretary Brind, and leaders of various levels.

Sharsha Upazila Awami League President and Upazila Parishad Chairman Sirajul Haque Manju presided over the event.
