A bicycle rally has been held in Jhenaidah to create awareness about suicide prevention.
The rally started at 10 am on Sunday from Abdur Rouf Degree College ground in Sadar Upazila.
The voluntary organization 'Tarunyar Agrajatra' organized the rally. College principal JM Rabiul Islam inaugurated the rally. The organization's chief advisor Shakib Mohammad Al Hasan, Dakbangla Police Camp in-charge Anisur Rahman and others were present at the time.
After visiting various educational institutions in Sadhuhati Union of Sadar Upazila, the rally circled the Chuadanga-Jhenaidah highway and ended at Mohammadpur Government Primary School.
Alauddin Azad, former president of Jhenaidah Press Club and editor of Daily Nabachitra, and Ramzan Ali, secretary of Sadhuhati Union Parishad, spoke at the short rally held at the end.
About 100 students from various educational institutions of Sadhuhati Union participated in the rally.
