The Awami League has destroyed the education system in 15 years, said Abu Naser Md. Rahmatullah, a member of the BNP's National Executive Committee. He is also the No. 1 member of the Barisal Sadar Upazila BNP.

He said this as the chief guest at the joint annual sports competition and award distribution ceremony of Chatua Chargopalpur Lower Secondary School, Jharnabhanga Chatua Government Primary School and Chatua Motaleb Howladar KG Madrasa in Charmonai Union of Barishal Sadar Upazila on Saturday.

At the time, Abu Naser said, 'A dictatorial government was in power in the country for the last 15 years. They have destroyed the education system. Thousands of educational institutions have been destroyed due to the violence of the Chhatra League in the past 15 years. Thousands of crores of taka have been corrupted in the name of education. It is hard to think that books for the boys and girls of my country are made in other countries. Because at that time, a knee-jerk authoritarian government was in power.

They did not allow the country's sons and daughters to stand proudly with their heads held high. Not only that, everyone from the general public to teachers, journalists, doctors and politicians had to face Hasina's wrath. No one could speak out. If they spoke out, they were murdered, disappeared and tortured. The Hasina government took away people's voting rights. When the people are not valued in a country, the government becomes an authoritarian one.

Naser said that BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman has announced 31 points to repair the state. Through the implementation of the 31 points, Bangladesh will develop into a developed and prosperous country.
