During anti-discrimination student movement, death of Begum Rokeya University Rangpur student Abu Saeed Abu Sayed died of excessive bleeding due to police short gun fire and head injury.

This information is learnt from the report of Abu Saeed's autopsy, which came to the media on Monday (September 23), two and a half months after his death.

The bullet from the police shotgun pierced the entire body, causing profuse bleeding and injury marks were found from the middle to the back of the head.

According to the description of the incident that day, Abu Sayed had a hole in his skull above his ear, measuring 3 inches in length and one and a half inches in width, from which blood had oozed and clotted. Apart from this, there were numerous small rubber bullet holes in different parts of the body including chest, stomach. There was a lot of bleeding from there too. Abu Saeed went into shock due to head injury and blood loss. He died in this.
Abu Sayed's lawyer told the media that there were injury marks on the back of the head. Apart from this, there are bullet marks in different parts of the body. Abu Saeed died in police firing. So it can be said that it is murder. According to this report, in no way will the accused get relief.

The police filed a case in Tajhat police station on July 17 as a plaintiff in the case of Abu Saeed's death. Later on August 18, Abu Saeed's elder brother Ramzan Ali filed another case. Both the cases are being investigated by the PBI.

On July 16, at around 2 pm, students from Rangpur's Khamar intersection came in front of the university's gate number 1 with a huge procession. At this time they started giving different slogans. The students tried to enter the campus and were stopped by the police. This led to a clash between the students and the police.

At that time, the police fired at least 200 rounds of bullets and rubber bullets. Abu Sayed is a student of English department of the BRUR, was killed by the police.
