ATM booth security guard stabbed to death in Dhaka

Miscreants stabbed a security guard of an ATM booth of Modhumoti Bank to death in Dhaka’s Shahjadpur area early Wednesday.
The victim was identified as Hasan Mahmud, 55.
Gulshan police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mazharul Islam said some unknown miscreants stabbed the security guard at the ATM booth at a multi-storey building named Maisha Chowdhury Tower in the Shahjadpur area around 5:15am. However, it is believed that the miscreants failed to take money from the ATM booth.
The work is underway to collect CCTV footage of the ATM booth and identify those involved in the incident, said the OC.
The body was sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital morgue for autopsy, he added.
