The actor has also ventured into the cinema industry. Her popular works include “Contract”, “Kaiser”, “Buk Pocketer Golpo” and “Frenzy”. Her acted movie “Bhoyal” released across the country’s theatres on Friday. The young generation artiste shared her thoughts and future endeavours with the Daily Sun. Here are excerpts from the conversation.

Tell us about your back story to come to showbiz. What inspired you to pursue this career?

I’m involved to dancing in my childhood. I also acted in some plays at that time. By chance, I acted in a drama by Morshedul Islam Sir. But my inspiration to come to acting is “Sarey 72 Ghonta”. I acted as a child artiste in the drama. Later I started TV anchoring and modeling. In 2018, I made my debut in the film “Ahoto Phooler Golpo”. I worked in the film because I liked the story and the character.

You are currently working mostly in dramas. What is the reason behind it?

After the popularity of the drama “Buk Pocketer Golpo”, I decided to become a regular in dramas. Besides, I think I still have a lot to learn. For this, regular practice is necessary. The more directors and artists I work with, the more I will be able to learn. I will be able to discover myself in new ways. It is from that urge that I have become a regular in drama.

Your film “Bhoyal” has been released. Do you want to share anything about the film?

I have portrayed a village girl named Bokul in the film. The film was shot in the remote Khasia Punji region of Sylhet in December last year. This is a commercial film, which revolves around a sweet love story but has a twisted plot. I think it will be an entertaining experience for the audience; they will enjoy the film as it tells a thrilling and romantic story. “Bhoyal” was released yesterday (Friday). I request to the audience come to the cinema hall and watch the film. Ultimately, it will be up to the audience to judge my performance.

Do you have any other big-screen projects in the pipeline?

I have also completed shooting for another film “Shekor”, directed by Proshoon Rahmaan. I will be seen opposite FS Nayeem in the project. The post-production work is now going on. It was my second film after “Ahoto Phooler Golpo”. I’m also preparing and polishing myself before signing any new films.

What are the struggles you had to face in your profession?

I’m lucky that I have never been through any hurdles in the media arena. I always say there is 25% hard work and 75% luck in my case. You can see hundreds are daily struggle to get an opportunity here. Everyone can’t be successful. This is why I can call myself lucky.

Which performances are you most proud of?

I haven’t done my best work yet. Whatever I did, I did it with attention. Now I’m doing my acting with passion and concentration. I got a lot of love for my character Maliha in the Valentine’s Day drama “Buk Pocketer Golpo” this year.

As an actor, what is your definition of success?

Hard work, discipline and determination can make an actor successful. I think whatever professions you are in if you follow these, you can achieve your goal. And I want to continue doing great work that makes me happy.

Could you share your upcoming project to the audience?

I’m working on several dramas on Valentine’s Day. I’ve been involved in numerous projects for the last few months. I will take a break in December. Then I will start shooting in January next year.

Any special message for the viewers?

The audience’s feedback is precious to me. I’m so happy that my works have been liked by the viewers. I’m grateful to my fans for showing so much love. I request all my well-wishers and fans to keep me in your prayers.
