Army detains Dhaka’s top terror Ezaz

The Army arrested Ezaz alias Hezaz, one of Dhaka’s most notorious terrorists, from the Rayerbazar area in the early hours Tuesday.
He will be handed over to the police through appropriate legal procedures, said a law enforcement official preferring anonymity.
Ezaz is known for terrorising Mohammadpur, Dhanmondi, Hazaribagh, Kalabagan, Elephant Road and New Market areas through his gang of 120-150 terrorists and followers.
On 15 August, he walked out on bail with other top terrorists including Sweden Aslam, Picchi Helal and Emon. Since then, he has been conducting extortions and abductions in different parts of the capital. With Pichhi Helal and Emon in hiding, Ezaz took control of their terrorist empires.
Ezaz is accused in at least 12 different cases of abduction, murder and extortion. He has been identified as the prime culprint over a recent attack on a businessman at Elephant Road area.
