Arifa Ruma appointed Councillor at Bangladesh Embassy in Washington

Arifa Rahman Ruma, Director of Foreign Affairs Ministry has been appointed Councillor at Bangladesh Embassy in Washington DC in the United States of America (USA) on Wednesday.
Sources said, the Establishment Section of the Foreign Ministry issued the notification with some conditions vide its memo No 19.00. 0000.111.42.519.20/1290 in this regard on September 1.
Prior to her appointment in the Foreign, she was an Associate Professor of Bangladesh Open University. She was also President of Bangladesh Open University Teachers' Association.
Ms Ruma was associated with many socio-cultural organisations and vocal in social media.
