Md. Anwar Hossain is a prominent industrialist and the visionary founder and Chairman of Monpura Group, a diversified conglomerate in Bangladesh.

Hailing from Kochua Upazila in Chandpur District, he has transformed his business from a modest venture with minimal capital in 1998 into a leading industrial enterprise.

Under his leadership, Monpura Group has expanded significantly, currently operating approximately 14 diverse business entities across sectors including real estate, education, electronics, food processing, and textiles. Key organizations under the group include Monpura Properties Limited, MG Machineries Corporation, Monpura School and College, Tipson Electric and Electronics Industries, and Monpura Agro Industries Limited, among others. The group is widely recognized for importing advanced industrial machinery, such as CNC routers, fiber laser cutters, and embroidery machines, providing essential technology and technical training to small-scale entrepreneurs across the country.

Beyond his industrial pursuits, Anwar Hossain is deeply committed to social development and education. He founded Monpura School and College in Uttar Badda, Dhaka, in 2014, with the objective of providing high-quality, technology-integrated education to students in the region. His commitment to entrepreneurship extends to empowering the youth by providing technical and vocational training, such as CNC machine operation, helping small investors transition into successful entrepreneurs.

As a proud son of Kochua, Chandpur, he remains active in the development of his home district. He frequently contributes to local mosques, madrasas, and other social institutions. During the holy month of Ramadan, he regularly organizes Iftar and prayer gatherings, fostering community spirit among local residents and public figures.

His business operations have also generated significant employment opportunities, contributing to the socio-economic advancement of the region. Supported by his wife, Afroza Hossain, who leads the group's "Afroza Fashion" initiative, and his son Arefin Hossain, who directs "Arefin Trading," Anwar Hossain continues to steer Monpura Group toward sustainable growth and national development.
