Ansar members harvest paddy of poor women in Phulbari

Ansar members harvested the paddy of 48 percent of a poor woman farmer's land in Phulbari, Kurigram.
From Monday morning to afternoon, Ansar members under the leadership of Upazila Ansar VDP office trainer Mominul Islam cut the paddy of 48 percent of the land of Hira Begum, a poor woman farmer in Hajir Bazaar area of the upazila.
It is known that Hira Begum could not cut the rice of the field and take it home due to financial crisis even though the paddy of the cultivated land was ripe. Later he took shelter of Mominul Islam, trainer of Upazila Ansar VDP. Hearing the plight of a woman farmer, trainer Mominul Islam planned to cut the paddy of her land. Later on Monday, 10/12 Ansar members were taken along and the rice of the woman's land was cut.
Hira Begum said that the paddy of the land has ripened 15 days ago. Due to lack of money and labor shortage, I am not able to harvest the paddy of the field. I informed the instructor of Upazila Ansar VDP about cutting paddy without finding a way. Later, sir himself cut the paddy of 48 percent of my land. I am thankful to sir.
In this regard, Upazila Ansar VDP trainer Mominul Islam said that the woman member of Ansar is very poor. Hearing that he could not cut the ripe paddy of the field due to lack of money, 10/12 Ansar members of that union cut the paddy of his field and put it on the land. After drying, the paddy will be delivered to his home.
