Md Nayem Hasan Eimon, Rajapur (Jhalkathi)

Another case has been filed at Rajapur police station in the name of 53 members of Awami League, with Shahjahan Omar Bir Uttam, the former member of parliament of Awami League from Jhalkathi-1 (Rajapur-Kantalia) constituency, being the main accused.

Upazila BNP president Adv. Talukdar Abul Kalam Azad filed this case as the plaintiff (case number-5). Rajapur police station officer OC Ismail Hossain confirmed the case.

The notable defendants in the case are Md. Moniruzzaman Monir, member of Awami League's Central Liberation War Subcommittee, District Awami League's Science and Technology Secretary and former Upazila Chairman Md. Moniruzzaman, former Upazila Chairman Md. Hossain Shaheed Jilani Milan Mahmud (Bachchu Mridha), Rajapur Upazila AwamiLeague general secretary and former upazila vice chairman Md. Zia Hyder Khan Liton, former upazila Chhatra League general secretary and former vice chairman Abdullah Al Hasan Bappi Mridha, Kanthalia upazila former vice chairman Ah Jalil Miyaji, Bangladesh Rural Development Board (BRDB) Rajapur branch chairman O53 people including Jubo League leader Md. Suman Sikder, Baraiya UP Chairman Md. Sahab Uddin Suru MiaAlso 150 persons have been made unknown accused.

Earlier on Thursday afternoon in the case of vandalism and arson of Kanthalia upazila office Shahjahan Omar, the former Member of Parliament of Jhalkathi-1 Constituency was arrested and sent to jail by the Jhalkathi courtOn his way home that morning, miscreants attacked and ransacked his vehicle and also ransacked his house in North Pingri area of Rajapur. Shahjahan Omar was arrested by the police when he went to report the incident to the police station.

According to the sources of the statement, Rajapur Upazila BN.The accused accused, who were present in front of the party office with indigenous weapons including iron rod, hookstick, GI pipe, ramada, Chinese axe, hanna, illegal firearms and explosives gotel, attacked the party office and vandalized the party workers and caused cocktail explosion.

Upazila BNP President Adv. Talukdar Abul Kalam Azad said that it was not possible to file a case at Rajapur Police Station due to the system of one-party dictatorship in the country at that time. Due to the healthy and normal environment in the present country and in the hope of good governance and justice, I have discussed with the party leaders and workers and filed the case.

OC of Rajapur police station. Ismail Hossain said that a person named Lal Mridha has been arrested and sent to court in this case. Efforts are on to arrest the rest of the accused.
