Although it seems surprising to hear about this, such an incident happened in Dakshinpara of Gopalpur village of Raidaulatpur union of Kamarkhand upazila of Sirajganj in Friday last.

The marriage of ' Bot-Pakur' was completed according to the rules at the house of Shital Sarkar, the owner of the village.

More than 700 guests participated in this wedding, along with the organizers and guests, people of various professions from different places gathered to see the wedding of pakur and banyan trees.

Wedding organizer Sheetal Sarkar said, a palm tree of my house grew a pakur tree about 15 years ago. After several years, another banyan tree was born next to the pakur tree.

He said, according to the Hindu scriptures, there is also a provision for marriage when the pakur tree and banyan tree are born.But due to various problems, I could not organize the wedding of that pakura and bot tree.Many crises and problems arise in my family due to the non-marriage of pakur and banyan trees. Some of my family members including me have dreamed several times that two trees should be married to solve these problems and crises.This is the continuation of this wedding arrangement of pakur and banyan tree.

Debashish Mandal Mithun and Anand Mohan Majumdar of Gopalpur village said, "I have been hearing for a long time that there will be a marriage of pakur tree and banyan tree." After much waiting, the formal marriage was completed on Friday afternoon by dressing the pakur tree with dhoti-punjabi, crown and saree, shakha, vermilion, crown on the banyan tree.

In marriage, they are married by decorating the pakur tree as the bridegroom and the banyan tree as the bride.On the occasion of the marriage of the pakora tree and the banyan tree, a great joy was created in the entire village for several days.

On the occasion of Pakur-Bot's marriage, the guests from different areas enjoyed the festival by playing various songs on the sound box along with lighting and dhak-dhol.In the evening, everyone in the village is not part of the dinner at the house of Sheetal, the host of the wedding.'
