Aminul Islam appointed Treasurer of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society

Rotarian CP Mohammad Aminul Islam has been appointed as the treasurer of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society. At the same time prominent media personality Dr. Jamil Ahmed has been appointed as Vice Chairman.

According to the decision of the 286th meeting of the Managing Board of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society on Thursday morning, they were appointed to two important positions of the society by the board.

Rotarian CP Mohammad Aminul Islam is a prominent tax lawyer and social activist. During his illustrious career, he held leadership positions in various organizations of the country including multinational companies, local investment banks. Studied law along with a higher degree in accountancy. He is an active member of Dhaka Taxes Bar Association and Sylhet District Taxes Bar Association. He has active participation in revenue management practice, numerous charities and social enterprises.

He served as the founder youth chief of Youth Red Crescent Sylhet. He has contributed significantly in various humanitarian activities including relief distribution, first aid and rescue training, Tracing Division (RFL), CBDP project and blood bank. He also held various responsibilities at Zonal level as Chartered President, Assistant Governor of Rotary Club of Sylhet Paradise and former Assistant Governor and Deputy Governor of Rotary District 3282. Apart from legal and social work, Islam is working in healthcare.

He has received numerous awards from Rotary International and Bangladesh Red Crescent Society for his contribution to social and humanitarian work. He is a lifetime member of various organizations including Bangladesh Red Crescent Society, Jalalabad Association, Nazrul Academy, Clean Green Bangladesh, Rotary Center and Lion's Eye Hospital. He has attended various trainings and international conferences in Australia, Belgium, England, Germany, Switzerland, Portugal, Italy, India, Turkey and Malaysia.

It is to be noted that the 286th meeting of the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society's Managing Board discussed the upcoming 52nd Annual General Meeting including the overall development of the society, ensuring transparency in all activities.
