The conference of Alikadam Upazila Krishak League was held on Friday in continuation of the reorganization of all expired committees of Bangladesh Awami League and its front organizations across the country.

Babu Mongchingthwai Marma was elected as President and Nazim Uddin Mahamud Enamul as General Secretary.

The conference was held in the traditional Alikadam Pan Bazar Zilla Parishad Town Hall, Bandarban was present as the inaugural member of the conference held under the chairmanship of Babu Mongchingthwai Marma, the member secretary of the conference preparation committee of Upazila Krishak League, Nazim Uddin Mahmud EnamulDistrict Farmers League President Mr. Pragyasar Barua Papon, Bandarban District Awami League General Secretary (Acting) Mr. Lakshipada Das was present as the chief guest.

General Secretary of Bandarban District Farmers League Mr. Salim Reza was present as the main speaker, Mr. Rezaul Karim Reza, Office Secretary of Bangladesh Farmers League Central Executive Committee was present as the special speaker.

Bandarban District Awami League Joint General Secretary Mr. Mozammel Haque Bahadur, Alikadam Upazila Awami League President Mr. Jamal Uddin, Upazila Awami League Cni. Vice President and Member of Bandarban Zilla Parishad Mr. Dungri Mong Mahajan, General Secretary of Alikadam Upazila Awami League Mr. Dharanithwai Marma along with leaders of District and Upazila Awami League and allied organizations.

At 3:30 pm, the conference started with the hoisting of the national flag and the party. Inaugurated the program with the opening speech of the conference. Later, the present guests gave important speeches to the various union and ward-level grassroots leaders and activists present in the conference.

The chief guest in his speech illustrated the various developments implemented during the present government. He said Bangabandhu dreamed of transforming this country into a developed country like China.

The present government is helping the farmers in various ways. Farmers are being subsidized on various things including fertilisers, using technology to ensure higher yields.

He also said that the present government is working for the development and peace of the hills. He instructed everyone to be united and work to vote for Bir Bahadur in the upcoming 12th National Assembly elections.

Later, based on the opinions of all present at the conference, two former student leaders, Babu Mongchingthwai, announced Marma as president and Nazim Uddin Mahmud Enamul as general secretary as the new committee of Alikadam Upazila Krishak League.
