AL leader Biplob murder: JU BCL demands speedy trial

Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) of Jahangirnagar University (JU) unit staged demonstration on the campus protesting the murder of former JU student and Awami League leader Duronto Biplob.
Over 100 BCL activists of the university unit formed a human chain at the road adjacent to the JU Central Shaheed Minar of the university on Thursday noon.
Addressing the human chain, Akhtaruzzaman Shohel, President of JU BCL unit said, "Some evil circles do not want to keep the country stable. As part of this, Duronto Biplob was killed. We demand a speedy trial for this murder."
Duronto Biplob was a member of Awami League’s agricultural affairs subcommittee and former student of 19th batch of Drama and Dramatics Department of Jahangirnagar University.
Earlier, on November 7, Duronto arrived at his workplace at 3.15 pm and left half an hour later. But he had been missing since then, and later, his dead body was found floating in the river near the Pegla area of Narayanganj’s Fatullah on Saturday. The back of his head had been bashed in and there were several injury marks on his chest.
