AGM of DU Alumni Assoc held

The Annual General Meeting of Dhaka University Alumni Association was held on Saturday at the Student-Teacher Center Auditorium.
University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman was present as the chief guest on the occasion.
Dhaka University Alumni Association President Anwar-ul-Alam Chowdhury Parvez presided over the event and the organization's Secretary General Molla Mohammad Abu Kawshar, former President Rakibuddin Ahmed, former Secretary General Ranjan Karmkar and Organizing Secretary Sheikh Salahuddin Ahmed spoke at the event.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman wished the success of this annual general meeting and said that the alumni of Dhaka University have been playing an important role in the development and progress of the university.
This organization is working with reputation for transparency, accountability and democratic values. Apart from providing various support to the students, the Vice-Chancellor called on the alumni to establish a 'Basic Research Fund' to further the quality of education and research of the university.
A minute's silence was observed and condolence was recited to pay respect to the memory of various eminent personalities of the country and members of the association who passed away in the last one year.
Apart from this, the magazine published on the occasion of the Annual General Meeting, the report of 2022-2023 and the last year's income-expenditure audit report were presented and discussed.
