Abnormal death of 45 people in Satkhira in four months

At least 45 people have died abnormally in Satkhira in four months. Among them, three murders, 6 electrocutions, 8 suicides and 18 deaths in road accidents occurred in separate incidents. Apart from this, one person died due to tiger attack, one person fell from the roof, one person drowned in water, one person was bitten by a snake and one person died after giving birth. During this period, the police recovered 5 dead bodies from different places. This information was obtained only from the news published in the media. However, if there is news that has not been published in the media, this number will increase.

According to sources, at least 10 people have died abnormally in January. Among them, one child was killed, 3 were electrocuted, one committed suicide, 4 died in a road accident and one died due to drowning. According to sources, at least 14 people died in February. Among them, 3 people committed suicide, 6 people died in road accidents, 3 bodies were recovered, one person fell from the roof and one person died due to snake bite.

According to sources, at least 10 people died in March. Among them, one was killed, two by electrocution, one by suicide, four by road accident, one body recovered and one died after childbirth. According to sources, at least 11 people have died unnaturally in Satkhira till April 26. Among them, one was killed, one was electrocuted, 3 committed suicide, 4 were killed in a road accident, one body was found and one died in a tiger attack.

According to information search, a young man named Saharul Sana (30) died due to electrocution in Pratapnagar of Asasuni on April 5. On April 10, uncle SM Ali Akbar (75) was killed by his nephew's stick in a dispute over paddy field irrigation in Shyamnagar. This incident happened in Nakbati area of Vurulia Union of Upazila. Police arrested four people in this incident.

On April 14, a housewife named Irani Afroz Tanu (27) from Kamalnagar area of Satkhira city committed suicide after keeping her husband on video call.

On April 17, a young man named Pradeep Kumar Mandal (27) committed suicide by hanging himself on his lover in Shyamnagar.

On April 19, the police recovered the dead body of an unidentified (30) person from the fish farm of one Saiful in Sora area of Gabura, Shyamnagar.

On the same day, a maul named Moniruzzaman was killed in a tiger attack in Notabeki area of Sundarban Satkhira range. His address is in Dumuria village of Gabura union of Shyamnagar upazila.

On April 22, a child named Osman (5) was killed in a motorcycle accident in Dhulihar Suparighata area of Satkhira Sadar Upazila.

On the night of April 24, Labani Mondal (16), a school student of Sukumar Mandal of Biseshkati village of Khalishkhali Union of Tala Upazila, committed suicide by drinking poison.

A young man named Rajmohan alias Shubo Das (35) was killed in a motorcycle accident on 25th April on the Satkhira bypass road.

On the same day, a father and son were killed in a head-on collision between a motorcycle and a trolley in Agardani area of Baikari Road in Satkhira. The deceased are Hafizur Rahman Bulu (65) and his son Abdul Aziz (25) of Baikari village in Satkhira.
The search further revealed,

In March there was one murder, 2 electrocution, 1 suicide, 4 road accidents, 1 body recovery and 1 death after childbirth.

According to sources, two college students were killed in a road accident in Asasuni on March 6. The deceased are Nayan Ghosh (19) son of Niranjan Ghosh of Amania village in Tarali Union of Kaliganj Upazila of Satkhira and William Ghosh (18) son of Jagannath Ghosh of the same village.

On March 9, a housewife named Saima Khatun (18) was suffocated to death by her in-laws at Debhata in Satkhira. Police arrested Saima Khatun's husband Tanjim Islam in this incident. According to the police, Tanjim Islam, who was detained, confessed his guilt by giving a statement under section 164 in the court.

Sheikh Mustafizur Rahman (65), a retired government employee, was killed in a road accident at Jhowdanga in Satkhira on March 12.

On the same day, the police recovered the dead body of a man named Lutfar Rahman (65) from the Kapotaksh river in Tala of Satkhira.

Razia Khatun of Shyamnagar who won SAFF died after giving birth on March 14.

On March 18, husband Sohel Rana (25) committed suicide after saving his wife Rupa Khatun who was trying to commit suicide in Jhutitala of Satkhira.

On March 21, a laborer named Abul Hasan (35) was killed when a broken brick machine overturned in Kalaroa.

On March 30, a farmer named Yakub Ali (51) was electrocuted while cutting tree branches in Asasuni.

On March 31, a farmer named Golam Rasul (45) was electrocuted by an electric rat trap at Debhata in Satkhira.

According to sources, 3 suicides, 6 road accidents, 3 dead bodies recovered, one fell from the roof and one died of snakebite in February.
According to locals and police,

Class 10 student Hema Parveen (15) committed suicide by hanging herself in Debhata on February 1.

According to sources, a young man named Abul Hasan (28) committed suicide by hanging himself in Kaliganj of Satkhira on February 4.

On February 6, a student of Class 9 named Nadi Biswas (14) committed suicide in Tala, Satkhira.

On February 8, a child named Asadul Islam (5) was crushed by the wheel of a dumper carrying brick kiln soil in Kaliganj of Satkhira.

On February 9, the police recovered the half-decomposed body of an unidentified woman from Kathanda in Baikari Union of Satkhira.

On February 15, a woman named Rokia Begum (55) was killed after falling from the roof of a house in Satkhira's Kaliganj.

On the same day, a young man named Lutfar Rahman (28) was killed by a pickup in the same upazila.

On February 19, a woman named Rokeya Khatun (55) died after falling from the van with her clothes wrapped around the Tala of Satkhira.

On the same day, a farmer named Aksed Ali (70) was bitten by a snake while working in the crop field in Kamarali village of Jugikhali union in Kalaroa.

On February 20, the BGB recovered the body of an unidentified person from the Ichamati river on the border of Varashimla in Kaliganj.

On February 22, BGB recovered the body of an Indian BSF member named Riazul Islam (30) from Ichamati River in Satkhira.

Two women named Fazila Khatun (60) and Achia Khatun (45) were killed in a road accident in Asasuni on February 23.

A laborer named Mamun Hossain (35) was killed in a road accident in Badamtala area of Bhomra road in Satkhira on February 25.

Meanwhile, in the current month of January 2024, one child was killed, three were electrocuted, one committed suicide, 4 died in a road accident and one died due to drowning.
According to police and locals,

On January 5th, Arif Billah (08), a class two student, and his father Yasin Ali were burnt to death in Dhalbaria village of Agardari Union in Satkhira Sadar. The police arrested the killer's father. After the arrest, Yasin Ali admitted the truth of the incident and gave a statement to the police.

A college student named Ovi Kumar Dey (22) was killed in a road accident at Tala in Satkhira on January 14.

On January 18, a businessman named Sannyasi Charan Das (55) died of electrocution in Shyamnagar.

A child named Ibrahim Hossain (03) died after drowning in Kaliganj of Satkhira on January 19.

On the same day, a youth named Ujjwal Hossain (27) died due to electrocution in Shyamnagar.

On January 24, a man named Kamal Mahmud (52) died of electrocution in Satkhira Tala.

On January 26, a college student named Al Amin Sardar (20) committed suicide by hanging himself in Kaliganj of Satkhira.

College teacher Mofizul Islam (55) was killed in a road accident on January 27 in Domdom area of Kalaroa.

On January 28, a woman laborer named Mariam Khatun (30) was killed in a road accident at Binerpota in Satkhira.

A teenager named Jamirul Islam (15) was killed in a road accident in Satkhira Tala on January 30.
