80 homeless people getting houses in Baraigram

Some 80 more homeless people are receiving Prime Minister's gift shelter-house under the Baraigram Shelter Scheme in Natore on Thursday.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Laila Jannatul Ferdous gave this information in a press briefing held at the upazila parishad hall on Sunday.
She said that the Honorable Prime Minister will auspiciously inaugurate the 80 house transfer program through video conference among 80 homeless people in Baraigram like the rest of the country.
Among them, there are 17 houses in Chatiangacha housing project, 33 houses in Chaumhan housing project and 30 houses in Bahimali housing project. 2 crore 40 lakh taka has been allocated for the implementation of this project in the upazila. Earlier, 326 houses were constructed in 2020-21 fiscal year, 109 houses in 2021-22 fiscal year, 180 houses in 2022-23 fiscal year, totaling 625 houses were constructed.
Upazila Project Implementation Officer Md Abdur Razzak, Upazila Youth Development Officer Md Rafiqul Islam, Upazila Social Service Officer Rezaul Karim were present during the press briefing.
