7 houses of 3 families gutted in fire in Phulbari, Tk 10 lakh loss estimated

In a terrible fire in Kurigram's Phulbari, the living room, kitchen, cattle house, cows, furniture, paddy field, cash of 3 families were burnt and the loss of around 10 lakh rupees has been achieved. The fire incident took place in Rabaitari village of Bhangamore Union of the upazila at around 1.30 pm on Monday.
Eyewitnesses said that around 1.30 am, the house of Mamud's son Nader Ali suddenly burst into flames and started burning. Before the sleeping people could wake up, the raging flames burnt Nader Ali's 4 tinned houses, cowshed, kitchen and 3 cows in the cowshed within moments.
Later, when the fire spread to the neighboring house of Abdul Quader and Majidul, the locals informed the Phulbari Fire Service. But before the fire service arrived, Abdul Quader's 2 houses, Majidul's 1 house, furniture, paddy field, cash and everything were burnt, causing a loss of around 10 lakh rupees. Later a team of Phulbari Fire Service reached the spot and brought the fire under control.
Ahsan Habib, Station Officer of Phulbari Fire Service, said that the fire was brought under control after receiving information late at night. However, the cause of the fire is not known.
Bhangamore UP Chairman Mohammad Ali Sheikh said, the devastating fire has finished everything of the 3 families. In the morning, the Union Parishad visited the scene and provided initial assistance.
