5 people sentenced to death in Habiganj murder case

The court has ordered the death sentence of 5 people and life imprisonment for 2 people in Habiganj farmer Tonta Mia killing attack. Along with that, 6 more people were sentenced to different terms of imprisonment.

On August 1, 2014, a clash broke out between two parties over a land dispute in Dayalbagh village of Habiganj Sadar Upazila. During this time several people from both sides were injured and Tonta Mia died.

5 accused who were sentenced to death were present in the court during the verdict. But the rest are absconding.
