5 leaders, activists of banned Chhatra League arrested for creating panic in Pabna

Police arrested five leaders and activists of banned Chhatra League in Ataikula, Pabna, on charges of creating panic by holding a procession at night.
They were arrested in various places in Ataikula until Saturday morning. Ataikula Police Station OC Salauddin Quader confirmed the matter.
The arrested are Shaon Reza Khan (32), a resident of Dublia Camp Para and district Chhatra League vice-president, Amirul Islam (31), a resident of Notun Para and local AL leader, and Shahidul Islam (31), Tapu Raihan (35) and Shakil Mridha (17), residents of Srikol area and Chhatra League activists.
The police official said that on Friday night, the leaders and activists of banned Chhatra League took out a torch procession from Srikol Bazar in Ataikula and ended it at Srikol Bridge. They were trying to create panic through this. Later, they were arrested in a raid until Saturday morning.
