A five-day Agricultural Technology Fair-2025 has begun under the Sylhet Region Agricultural Development Project (Revised 1) through modern technology in Srimangal, Moulvibazar.
The Fair was inaugurated by the chief guest Srimangal Upazila Executive Officer Mohammad Islam Uddin at the Upazila Parishad ground on Tuesday morning.
The program, organized under the chairmanship of Upazila Agriculture Officer, Agronomist Mohammad Alauddin, was addressed as special guests by Srimangal Municipality Executive Engineer Md. Zahirul Islam and Upazila Youth Development Officer Asim Kumar Kar.
Organized by the Department of Agricultural Extension, Srimangal, this fair has a total of 14 stalls from various unions and agricultural offices of the upazila.
Modern agricultural machinery, environmentally friendly technologies, organic fertilizers, improved seeds, and agricultural innovations are being displayed at the fair.
The organizers expressed hope that this will encourage farmers to use technology.
The five-day fair will continue until next Saturday. Authorities are expecting a large participation from local farmers, entrepreneurs, women agricultural workers, and general visitors.
