In addition, law-enforcing agencies arrested 870 more suspects across the country during regular operations on Friday.

A Police Headquarters statement on Saturday reported a total of 1,347 arrests in the last 24 hours.

As many as 3,093 people have been apprehended in the operation so far, with 509 detentions reported on the sixth day, 566 on the fifth day, and 591 on the fourth day.

Police personnel have also recovered foreign pistols, magazines, bullets, and sharp weapons during the drive in the last 24 hours.

The interim government initiated the operation following an attack on the home of former Liberation War affairs minister AKM Mozammel Haque in Gazipur on Feb 7, during which several people were injured and property was damaged.

The special operation, targeting "instigators of instability", was launched by joint forces on Feb 8.

It involves the army, navy, air force, police, Border Guard Bangladesh, or BGB, Ansar, and Coast Guard personnel.
