4 held for extortion in bulbhead in Padma river in Goalando

Daulatdia Navy Police and Shivalaya Coast Guard have arrested four people on allegations of extortion at Balubahi Bulbhead on the Padma river in Goalando of Rajbari.
Among those arrested are Suman Das, son of the deceased Ravidas of Juran Molla Para in ward no. 9 of Goaland municipality, Sohag Sheikh, son of Felu Sheikh of North Daulatdia Hossain Mondal Para.
They were sentenced to one month imprisonment for a total of Tk 1 lakh taka. Besides, the other 4 were released from the other.
Daulatdia Naval Police sources said that a group of Daulatdia Naval Police outpost along with the Coast Guard of the Shiblaya police station in Manikganj conducted the news on Tuesday, March 7 at around 2pm. Seven people detained.
Later, they took them to Daulatdia Launchghat and actually the Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate of Goaland Upazila. Asaduzzaman appeared on the spot and sentenced the six accused to one month imprisonment with a fine of Tk 1 lakh. Besides, the other four were taken away from the other four.
At that time, the accused and their associates abused the naval police and the Coast Guard in an inaugural language and threatened to bond human beings against the outskirts.
Goalando Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Asaduzzaman said, the detainees were arrested and alert with a fine of a single lakh taka. Such an operation will continue.
