4 -kg of marijuana recovered in anti-drug operation in Gopalganj, one arrested

A raid by the Narcotics Control Department in Gopalganj has recovered 4 (four) kg of marijuana. A person has been arrested in this incident and a regular case has been filed against him.
The operation was conducted in Sultan Shahi village of Gopalganj Sadar Upazila from 12:00 noon to 12:50 pm on Monday. A team from the Narcotics Control Department, District Office, Gopalganj participated in the operation.
During the operation, 4 kg of marijuana was recovered from the house of Md. Nasir Uddin Sardar (50), a resident of Sultan Shahi village. He was later arrested from the spot.
The arrested Nasir Uddin Sardar is the son of the late Md. Hashem Sardar and the late Md. Safeda Begum. A regular case has been filed against him at Gopalganj Sadar Police Station under the Narcotics Control Act.
In this regard, Inspector Mohammad Khorshed Alam of the Narcotics Control Department filed the case as the plaintiff.
Mohammad Nabi Newaz, assistant director of the District Narcotics Control Department, said that the anti-drug campaign will continue and a strict stance against drugs will be maintained.
